Orgasm
Orgasm

In the tradition of sacred sexuality, the term orgasm refers to the release of the sexual energy through a massive overcharge of the sexual organs and nervous system. The release may or may not include physical matter (semen).
A person's approach to sexuality is a sign of his level of evolution. Unevolved persons practice ordinary sexual intercourse. Placing all emphasis upon the sexual organs, they neglect the body's other organs and systems. Whatever physical energy is accumulated is summarily discharged [through orgasm], and the subtle energies are similarly dissipated and disordered. It is a great backward leap. - Taoism, Hua hu Ching (400 BC)
When ching [sexual energy] is emitted [through orgasm] the whole body feels weary. One suffers buzzing in the ears and drowsiness in the eyes; the throat is parched and the joints heavy. Although there is brief pleasure, in the end there is discomfort. If, however, one engages in sex without emission, then the strength of our ch'i will be more than sufficient and our bodies at ease. One's hearing will be acute and vision clear. Although exercising self-control and calming the passion, love actually increases, and one remains unsatiated. How can this be considered unpleasurable? - Taoist Alchemy, Su Nu Ching (ca. 200-500 AD)
...at every emission of semen you are losing the food and the best portion of the (blood) corpuscles, inasmuch as every particle of semen which is ejected will be replaced by more taken from the blood. This is enough to convince you that when you are ejecting the semen which should stay in the body and become reabsorbed so as to go and form the oil for the joints, new muscles, the brain material, as well as every other part of the body, you are really destroying or throwing away your life. You eject the substance of the synovial fluid. You send forth, to gratify a moment's passion, the very material of which the brain is made. This is a fact which you will acknowledge when you consider that all this semen is the material of which all these substances are made and supplied, and when the semen is ejected you have selected the best part of the body to go out and become to you a useless inert mass, which can never be restored to you under any circumstances. It is lost and gone. Then, the semen being out of the body, the sexual penalty comes apace. The penalty for this loss of semen is so far reaching and so concealed from the body of people of the present day that we do not know the exact spot to look for it. But we tell you, when you see paralysis, palsy, apoplexy, rheumatism, brain softening, bent shoulders and haggard face; when you observe a young old man and the dried up young lady, in all of these cases, and in dozens of others, you may set it down that there have been sexual losses and a waste of the bodily substance from the sexual orgasm. - Dr. Melville Keith, M.D.
It is forbidden to emit sperm to waste [i.e. to orgasm], and this sin is greater than any other sin of the Torah. - Judaism, Even Ha'ezer (13th century)
Ejaculation of semen [orgasm] brings death, preserving it within brings life. - Hinduism, Siva Samhita (age unknown)
Being able to have sexual contact without releasing semen is something needed when you practice the advanced stages of the complete stage. - The 14th Dalai Lama
Dalai Lama: Sex and Kalachakra
Advice for Keeping the Vows and Beginning Kalachakra Practice The Vow Not to Lose Seminal Energy-Drops Berzin: Many Westerners are married, what about the close bond of not losing (mi-nyams) seminal energy-drops (khu-ba)? His Holiness: What lay householders should do, I don't know. Berzin: Is this just referring to when practicing the complete stage (rdzogs-rim)? His Holiness: What should I say? In Kalachakra, for achieving a devoid form (stong-gzugs), you need supreme unchanging bliss (mi-'gyur-ba'i bde-ba). Kalachakra speaks a great deal about the necessity for maintaining non-weakened seminal energy-drops and therefore not losing semen. That being the case, then if a person practicing the Kalachakra complete stage is a male, it would seem that it is pervasive with the person abandoning home life (rab-byung) and becoming celibate. But, I wonder if that is so? I don't know. Berzin: For instance, Serkong Rinpoche said when you are practicing the...
Dalai Lama: Teachings about Sex
Here are some interesting quotes from the 14th Dalai Lama regarding sex as taught and understood in the context of Tantric Buddhism. “Being able to have sexual contact without releasing semen is something needed when you practice the advanced stages of the complete stage." - The 14th Dalai Lama (Berzin Archives) ••• "For Buddhists, sexual intercourse can be used in the spiritual path because it causes a strong focusing on consciousness if the practitioner has firm compassion and wisdom. Its purpose is to manifest and prolong deeper levels of mind (described earlier with respect to the process of dying), in order to put their power to use in strengthening the realization of the emptiness. Otherwise, mere intercourse has nothing to do with spiritual cultivation. When a person has achieved a high level of practice in motivation and wisdom, then even the joining of the two sex organs or so-called intercourse,...
Even Haezer Siman: Wasting Sperm
The Sin of Wasting Sperm 1) It is forbidden to emit sperm to waste [i.e. to fornicate], and this sin is greater than any other sin of the Torah. Thereby a man may not perform the spilling of the sperm outside the womb [or anywhere else], nor may he may he marry a girl too young to have children. 3) It is forbidden for a man to cause self-erection [masturbation] or to think erotic thoughts [fantasy]. If such thoughts do come to him he should discard them for thoughts of the Torah, since the Torah is liken to a “beloved hind, inspiring favour.” Thus it is forbidden for a man to sleep flat on his back, but he should turn slightly to one side to prevent him having an erection. He must not look at male and female animals [pornography] or birds [thoughts] that are copulating. Quoted from Even Haezer Siman 23.
Fornication
Originally, the term fornication was derived from the Indo-European word gwher. The study of this root word and its many branches reveals the meanings of volumes of religious symbols. Etymology of Fornication Originated from: gwher-, meaning "To heat, warm." Derivatives include brand, brandy, forceps, and fornicate. Zero-grade form *gwhr-. a. burn, from Old English beornan, byrnanbærnan (transitive), to burn; b. brimstone, from late Old English brynstn, “burning mineral,” sulfur (stn, stone; see stei-); c. brindled, from Old Norse brenna, to burn. a–c all...
Hatha Yoga Pradipika: Retain the Semen
Editor's Note: Hatha Yoga Pradipika is renowned as a classic treatise of Hatha Yoga, written by Swami Swatmarama in the 15th century CE. It is presumed to be the oldest surviving text of the three classic texts of Hatha Yoga, the other two being the Gheranda Samhita and the Shiva Samhita. Interestingly, this portion of the text is nearly identical to the Shiva Samhita. Unfortunately, the commonly available translations are deeply flawed, having been prepared by persons unfamiliar with the secret tradition of Yoga. Here we present the corrected portion of the text that is relevant to this website, and what is clearly the most important section of the...
Hua Hu Jing
Many believe the Hua Hu Jing (fourth century BC) was written by Lao Tzu. Although its authorship is contested, the contents of this book are remarkable. Here is a quote: Sixty-Five The interplay of yin and yang within the womb of the Mysterious Mother creates the expansion and contraction of nature. Although the entire universe is created out of this reproductive dance, it is but a tiny portion of her being. Her heart is the Universal Heart, and her mind the Universal Mind. The reproductive function is also a part of human beings. Because yin and yang are not complete within us as individuals, we pair up to integrate them and bring forth new life. Although most people spend their entire lives following this biological impulse, it is only a tiny portion of our beings as well. If we remain obsessed with seeds and eggs, we are married to the fertile reproductive valley of the...
Leviticus 15: Orgasm
Editor's Note: The following is excerpted from the instructions given by Moses to initiates of his tradition, upon which are based Judaism and Christianity. Careful examination of the translation made of the Hebrew text into Latin reveals many interesting details long since forgotten by the established religions. We provide for your consideration a translation made from Hebrew, and then the Latin / English. It is important to note that most modern religious groups disregard these passages and claim a variety of justifications for their point of view. Christians in particular often claim that Jesus brought a new covenant, yet they ignore his words about his teachings: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be...
Orgasm
When man and woman enter the sexual act, they connect two very complex organisms. They connect them where the most powerful energies are in the body: the sexual organs. In those organs are the root forces of creation. Normally, when we are not in the sexual act, all the powers that come into us, the power to be alive, descends through these three nervous systems and reflect the three forces that create, which are represented in religions as Father, Son, Holy Spirit; Kether, Chokmah, Binah; Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, etc. Those forces come through our three nervous systems. The ultimate expression of that energy - which is creative - is sexual. So when we unite man and woman sexually, that creative fire is...
Samael Aun Weor: Normal Sexuality
We understand people of normal sexuality to be those who have no sexual conflicts of any kind. Sexual energy is divided into three distinct types. First: the energy having to do with the reproduction of the race and the health of the physical body in general. Second: the energy having to do with the spheres of thought, feeling and will. Third: the energy that is found related with the Divine Spirit of man.Indeed, sexual energy is without a doubt the most subtle and powerful energy normally produced and transported through the human organism. Everything that a human being is, including the three spheres of thought, feeling and will, is none other than the exact outcome of distinct modifications of sexual energy. The control and storage of sexual energy is certainly difficult due to the tremendously subtle and powerful Nature of this energy. In addition, its presence represents a source of immense power that can result in a true catastrophe if one does not know how to handle...
Siva Samhita: Preserve the Semen
Editor's Note Universally quoted by Hindu writers and mystics (including Swami Sivananda), the mysterious text called Siva Samhita ("Verses of Shiva") was composed at least five hundred years ago, and is a fractured, contradictory, and very misunderstood reference among devotees of Hatha Yoga. Yet, when studied alongside other important Hindu texts, the genuine portions of the text become clearly obvious next to the additions or corruptions. Most of the book is concerned with simple postures designed to prepare the physical body for the more important work of sexual transmutation and meditation, thus we present here the most important section directly concerned with the sexual energy. The text is written as though spoken by Shiva, the symbolic representative of the creative and destructive powers of the...
Sivananda: Effects of Sexual Indulgence
The most devitalising and demoralizing of pleasures is the sex pleasure. Sensual enjoyment is attended with various defects. It is attended with various sorts of sins, pains, weaknesses, attachments, slave mentality, weak will, severe exertion and struggle, craving and mental restlessness. Worldly persons never come to their proper senses although they get severe knocks, kicks and blows from different corners. The strolling street dog never stops from visiting the houses even though it is pelted with stones every time. Eminent doctors of the West say that various kinds of diseases arise from the loss of semen, particularly in young age. There appear boils on the body, acne or eruptions on the face, blue lines around the eyes, absence of beard, sunken eyes, pale face with anaemia, loss of memory, loss of eye-sight, shortsightedness, discharge of semen along with urine, enlargement of the...
Sivananda: The Value of Semen
My dear brothers! The vital energy, the Virya [strength; power; energy; courage] that supports your life, which is the Prana of Pranas, which shines in your sparkling eyes, which beams in your shining cheeks, is a great treasure for you. Remember this point well. Virya is the quintessence of blood. One drop of semen is manufactured out of forty drops of blood. Mark here how valuable this fluid is! A tree draws the essence or Rasa from the earth. This essence is circulated throughout the tree, its twigs, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits. The shining colours and life in the leaves, flowers and fruits are due to this Rasa. Similarly, the Virya that is manufactured by the cells of the testes out of blood gives colour and vitality to the human body and its different organs. According to
Su Nu Ching
Editor's note: This remarkable scripture stands central in the literary and spiritual history of one of the world's greatest ancient civilizations, and demonstrates the antiquity and stature of the central theme of this website. It is written in the form of a dialogue between an emperor and the goddess Su Nu, which means "Immaculate" or "Uncontaminated Woman." Her name is linked with the god of grain (fertility) and was even represented as a river goddess. These symbols clearly demonstrate her relationship with comparable figures in Greek, Egyptian, and other pantheons. The Yellow Emperor addressed a question to Su Nu saying, "My ch'i [energy] is weak and out of harmony. There is no joy in my heart and I live in constant fear. What is to be done?" Su Nu answered: All debility in man is due to...
Why do doctors and priests recommend orgasm?
Quite simply, very few doctors and priests know anything about transmutation, thus they reject what they do not know. This fact reinforced by abundant evidence that forceful repression of the sexual energy (in so-called abstinence or "celibacy" as practiced by priests, nuns, and monks) is very destructive and results in massive psychological damage expressed through sexual abuse of one's self or others. In fact, doctors and priests have advocated and defended the orgasm because 1) they do not know anything else, and 2) they enjoy it, and have no interest in changing. What is most disappointing is when they claim that retention of sexual energy is dangerous or harmful. Upon what evidence they state such things is unknown, since they have no experience or scientific studies to support their views. They would be well-advised to study the
Zohar: Orgasm and Defilement
393. “And Hashem saw that the wickedness of man was very great upon the earth, and the thought in man’s heart was continuously only evil” (Genesis / Beresheet 6:5). Of the verse, “For you are not El who pleasures in wickedness. Evil will not sojourn with you” (Tehilim 5:5), Rabbi Yehuda said: This verse has been discussed and explained, yet come and behold: he who cleaves to and is led by the evil inclination is defiled and will be led further into defilement, as we have learned. 394. “The wickedness of man was very great,” because men committed all sorts of sins and their guilt was not complete until they spilled blood in vain upon the ground. This refers to those who pollute their ways upon the earth, that is, they spill their sperm in vain. Thus, it was written: “Only evil (ra) all day.” In another place it is written: “And Er, the son of Yehuda, was evil (ra) in the eyes of Hashem” (Beresheet 38:7), because he spilled his seed upon the earth. this indicates that the word Ra refers to the...
