A Simple Pranayama
Pranayama is a system of sexual transmutation for bachelors and bachelorettes. We already know that the two ganglionic cords, entwined along the spinal medulla in the form of an eight, ascend from the male’s testicles and from the woman’s ovaries towards the brain. These two ganglionic cords are the Two Witnesses mentioned in the book of Revelation (Apocalypse); likewise, “these are also the two olive branches… and the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth,” mentioned in Zachariah 4:12, 14. These are two hollow nerves, two fine canals through which the sexual energies ascend to the brain. The student inhales the air through the left nostril and exhales it through the right, and vice-versa. With the thumb and index fingers, one controls the nostrils in an alternating manner. When inhaling through Pingala, the solar nostril, we intensely imagine the radiant and sublime solar atoms rising through the solar cord to the brain; then hold the breath and carry that solar force to...
Christic Egyptian Pranayama
Editor's Note: In order to make clear the instructions given below, we have divided the practice of Christic Egyptian Pranayama into two parts: one for men, and one for women. Although originally given in "The Yellow Book" as a single practice and followed by a small note for women to invert the technique, this resulted in a great deal of confusion for students. Therefore, in the following text, the practice has been written exactly as required for each sex. Otherwise, this text remains as originally composed. Prana is the Great Breath. It is the Cosmic Christ. Prana is the life that palpitates within every atom, as it palpitates in every sun. Fire burns because of Prana. Water flows because of Prana. Wind blows because of Prana. The sun exists because of Prana; the life we have is Prana. Nothing can exist in the Universe without Prana. It is impossible for the most insignificant insect to be born, or for the smallest flower to bloom without Prana. ...

Now, for the moment we are going to explain an exercise that can be practiced by single people as well as by those who are married. I am going to tell you the technique just now; please pay attention... Sit down comfortably: the eastern way (cross-legged) or the western way (on a comfortable armchair). Relax your bodies as children do. Inhale deeply, very slowly, and imagine that the creative energy rises through the spermatic channels up to the brain; mentally pronounce the mantra HAM like this: HAAAAAAAMM. Exhale, short and quick, as you...
